GlideCycles will climb anything that you are strong enough to walk up….and if you can run, you can run up a mountain at as intense a heart rate as you can…safely. Because the feet are on the ground, your energy is transferred to motion without the loss of gears and chains. So no steepness can stop forward progress. It is even possible to drag another Glider up a big hill! You have to learn to shift the front straps, allowing the body to lean forward as if pushing a car out of snow….or sand…or mud. We are slower than race bikes, can sometimes beat a mountain bike, but get a much more controlled heart rate and energy output rate.
